Notes
- The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) has indicated that NQF level 8 will be required if registered with them. NQF level 8 is a 4-year full time professional degree (480 credits) or a Bachelors degree (360 credits) + a post grad diploma (120 credits).
- SAANT sets the Professional Membership Requirements according to current information available and grants Professional Membership after considering that the Professional Membership Requirements have been met. SAANT cannot guarantee that SAANT Professional Members will automatically be registered with the HPCSA, once registration is allowed, although this is SAANT's aim and Council will endeavour to achieve this for all Professional Members. The HPCSA has indicated that a 'window period" would possibly be allowed for those who trained prior to registration and were granted SAANT Professional Membership.
