INTRODUCTION
Public speaking is very much part of the work NGOs do. You use public speaking to get your message across to large audiences and to win support for your cause. You may also be called on to make speeches to provide information to people or as a way of reporting back to large groups of people.
A good speaker is inspiring, clear and persuasive. This is a skill which is built over years of experience to achieve a speaking style that is concise, engaging, on topic and clearly delivered.
Presentation development includes understanding your audience, being prepared and familiar with your topic. Practice is the best teacher – you will become better with experience.
Organisations need to have access to information that will assist them in building public speaking and presentation development skills, which will contribute to the success of an organisation. This workshop will assist individuals to with practical ideas for presentation development as well as delivery.
