Although a qualified Mathematics and Science teacher, while raising her children, Lynne became disillusioned with the continual symptomatic treatment of illnesses, especially allergies, in members of her family and this eventually sent her on a totally new career path. Her research into natural remedies and getting to the cause of illness culminated in a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nutrition. She now runs her private nutritional therapy practice, The Orchards Nutrition Centre, from the family farm outside Somerset East in the Eastern Cape . 

Being aware of the relationship between good nutrition and optimum health, Lynne incorporates mainly diet and supplementation in her treatment regimen, while focusing on the prevention and reversal of metabolic and degenerative diseases. To reach as many people as possible, she also consults online, gives talks in the Eastern Cape and writes health articles for various newspapers and publications. 

Lynne is one of the founding Council members of the South African Association for Nutritional Therapy and currently holds the position as Membership Secretary. She is also the Regional coordinator for the Eastern Cape . She enjoys community work and is a member of a Management Committee for a Children’s Home as health and nutrition adviser. On the farm she grows organic vegetables and produces free-range chickens and eggs for friends and family.
