Katherine is a qualified Pharmacist, Nutritional Therapist and Psychophonetics Practitioner. She completed her post graduate diploma in Clinical Nutrition through the International Academy of Nutrition in Australia and her Psychophonetics training through Persephone Institute, South Africa.

She runs an integrative health practice at Syringa Health Centre in Plumstead, Cape Town. The combination of Nutritional Therapy and Psychophonetics may be helpful for people who have conditions aggravated by the combination of food choices and stress. She finds that unmet emotional needs and unmanaged stress often result in specific eating patterns and contribute to many ongoing physical ailments. She has a specific interest in eating disorders and food cravings.

Katherine has done research into the effects of diet and stress on the health of the blood cells, specifically the white blood cells, by observing the blood of numerous clients through a dark field microscope and has become more and more convinced of the importance of lifestyle choices to maintain health and avoid illness.

She is a Provisional Member of SAANT, Professional Member – Independent Supervisor and Committee Member of IAPP (International Association of Psychophonetics Practitioners) and teaches counseling and coaching at Persephone Institute in Cape Town.
