INSURANCE

SAANT Practitioners are required to be insured against Professional Indemnity.

• Product Liability: required if you are manufacturing or packaging your own supplements.
• Public Liability: The SAANT Code of Ethics and Practice details requirements for premises. Public Liability cover is available at the Practitioner's discretion.
• Slander Indemnity: at the Practitioner's discretion.

At present in South Africa, a Nutritional Therapist can obtain R 1 000 000 Professional Indemnity/ Medical Malpractice through Admiral Insurance.

We have approached Balens Ltd, Specialist Insurance Brokers for Healthcare Professionals and Organisations, www.balens.co.uk, who insure many BANT practitioners. They are investigating cover outside the UK through Zurich Global.
